Afrihost Mobile has mobile broadband plans

Hehehe all they have to do is beat Network B on the cost per GB and Bob's you uncle,now I wonder who Network B might be?
 
And another birdie tells me that in several months one network provider will zero-rate mobile data - wondering how this will change the mobile landscape.
 
Not getting my hopes up on this one unless Afrihost have somehow managed to undercut MTN on their mobile pricing.

I understand this to be an independent product. You deal with Afrihost (get a Afrihost sim), and Afrihost use MTN's network. So it will only work if you're on Afrihost Mobile.

What if you don't want two sim cards?

I have data and airtime on the sim in my phone and that acts a mobile hotspot for my laptop/tablet when I'm at clients.

I know there was a question about a mifi device in the survey. Is that going to be the best option at launch?
 
Hang on, the R79 cost per GB under Network B, isn't that a promotional price? Should it qualify? Surely we haven't reached the heights of were a mobile GB is less than R100 unless it falls under one of the numerous and CONFUSING data promotions.
 
Offer me an APN option on my current carrier and I would seriously consider it.
 
I'm not sure the SIM/Connection fees column is correct? If you buy from a shop it's like R1 to get the package, but if you buy from the cellphone shop itself, they give you the SIM and connect you for free. I got a CellC and 8ta sim recently to check for coverage at my house, and neither of them charged at the respective stores.

It depends on the package you have, you can be charged different rates for connection and SIMS. Anyway, we won't even charge you a Rand, and we'll deliver to your doorstep :)
 
Well I'm interested. Cell C has been pathetic and I'm currently on a Vodacom LTE contract so more data wouldn't hurt.

I don't have all the details now, but I have been assured that there will be numerous options for SIMS and devices eventually, as well as compatible devices for various applications. That will probably be in our next "revelation" :)
