DStv is getting a new HD channel
Mzansi Magic will be simulcast in high definition from 24 July, DStv has announced.
“All of our premiere shows are shot in the HD format and we are very pleased to be able to now offer a full HD channel,” said Nkateko Mabaso, director of M-Net Local Interest Channels.
“The channel also remains available in standard definition.”
Shows confirmed to be screened in HD on Mzansi Magic include Idols, Our Perfect Wedding, Zabalaza, and Date My Family.
DStv Premium, Extra, and Compact subscribers with the required HD equipment (HD-capable decoder, HD TV, and HDMI cable) will receive Mzansi Magic in high definition on DStv channel 161.
