ShowMax launches multi-user profiles feature
ShowMax has added support for multiple user profiles on a single account to its Android, Apple TV, iOS, and web apps.
“This feature makes it possible to customise the experience of users and to limit the access of children to age-suitable material,” said ShowMax.
ShowMax Chief Product Officer Barron Ernst said users can now create individual watchlists and receive personalised recommendations.
“Perhaps most importantly, this new feature makes it possible to create kids’ profiles and protect children by ensuring only age-appropriate content is accessible,” he said.
Four age settings are available:
- Younger kids
- Older kids
- Teens
- Adults
Profiles can be PIN-protected, and the watchlist and recently-watched summaries from one profile are not visible to other profiles.
Up to 11 profiles can be created on a single subscription, with two profiles able to view content simultaneously.
