SABC fires Chris Maroleng
The SABC board has terminated the contract of employment of its Chief Operations Officer, Chris Maroleng, with immediate effect.
This announcement followed “due consideration of the findings and recommendations of a disciplinary process”.
According to the SABC, Maroleng was found guilty of breaching his fiduciary duties as well as negligence.
Maroleng told Eyewitness News that he will be appealing the findings by a disciplinary committee, and is also looking to appeal the decision by the board to fire him.
