SABC fires Chris Maroleng

The SABC board has terminated the contract of employment of its Chief Operations Officer, Chris Maroleng, with immediate effect.

This announcement followed “due consideration of the findings and recommendations of a disciplinary process”.
 
"Maroleng was found guilty of breaching his fiduciary duties as well as negligence. "

Is this the new buzzword for theft?
 
Good job! Still sad that we throw a party every time a corrupt/inept "professional" gets the deserved axe but hey, it's a step in the right direction!
 
It's probably easy to fire any of these executives at SOEs. Someone likely maintains a file of charges they can use to work off anyone they want out at any time. I'm sure even the CEO could be removed the same if they wanted. But it appears the CEO is cool with the board. For now.
 
best part is not a single SOE person will ever do jail time :thumbsup: Ever !!!
