MTN Data Share launched
MTN has announced the launch of Data Share, a service which lets subscribers share their data bundles with up to 20 other MTN numbers.
The operator said that a main account holder can add and link SIM-enabled devices such as dongles, tablets, and modems free of charge.
The official announcement for Data Share comes after it already appeared on MTN’s USSD menus towards the end of December 2014.
“Unused data that customers forfeit at the end of the month will be a thing of the past thanks to the launch of Data Share,” said MTN.
MTN Data Share is available to Prepaid, TopUp, Postpaid, and My MTNChoice customers.
To activate the service, prepaid subscribers can buy a data bundle via USSD at *141*2*163# and then activate data share by dialling *141*5#.
Contract customers can call MTN’s Customer Call Centre on 808, visit any MTN branded store, or activate Data Share via the MTN Website.
