Afrihost Voice mobile services – launch date, details
Afrihost is aiming to launch mobile voice services on 10 November 2015, CEO Gian Visser announced at the 2015 MyBroadband Conference.
This will allow Afrihost Mobile customers to have mobile data, voice, and SMS on one SIM.
Like its mobile data products, Afrihost’s voice services will run on MTN’s network and will be integrated into its apps and Client Zone online portal.
While no pricing was announced, Visser promised that the “out-of-bundle shark will be well and truly caged”.
Not only will you be able to recharge airtime and bundles through Afrihost’s various portals, if you go outside your bundle you won’t pay high prices, said Visser.
Visser said the out-of-bundle prices will be close to in-bundle rates.
Afrihost also plans to offer data bundles that will be valid for extended periods, similar to MTN’s Data4Keeps tariff plan – which offers 12-month validity on data bundles.
