Telkom slashes voice bundle prices

Telkom has slashed the prices of its all-network voice bundles by between 34% and 47%.

This follows the launch of its new FreeMe packages, data-centric contract packages and prepaid bundles that offer subscribers excellent data value.

FreeMe packages include an allotment of data and a range of free value-added services, such as free WhatsApp data and free calls to Telkom numbers.

The only thing you don’t get on lower-end FreeMe packages are voice minutes to other networks, which cost R0.69 per minute (billed per second).

Telkom has now reduced the price of its all-network minute bundles to less than FreeMe’s out-of-bundle rate, with the effective per minute rates ranging between R0.60 and R0.68.
