Neotel has resolved the issues it was experiencing with its 3G CDMA network, said Vinnay Singh, Executive Head of Delivery, Assurance and Operations at Neotel.
Neotel’s CDMA customers have experienced slow data speeds, due to a network fault, since the end of July.
“A number of Neotel’s 3G CDMA data service customers have experienced problems resulting in degraded Internet performance and user experience,” said Singh.
“Neotel is pleased to share that it has identified and addressed the cause of the issue, and has restored the 3G CDMA data service to optimum performance levels.”
“There was no impact on Neotel’s core network, other network services, or other Neotel customers.”
One month free subscription
Neotel thanked its customers for their “patience and loyalty” while it fixed the network issue.
As a token of appreciation, Neotel said affected postpaid customers will receive one month’s subscription credit as one extra month of service at no charge.
“Affected prepaid customers will be credited with double their data bundle purchased next month,” said Neotel.
