MTN busy fixing billing problems
MTN is working on resolving a billing problem that has left many subscribers without cellular services.
Subscribers took to social media on 27 September to air their frustration about a system glitch that caused accounts to reflect massive outstanding balances.
This seems to have led to some contract accounts being suspended for being over their credit limit.
“We are aware of the billing issue affecting approximately 44,000 of our post-paid customers,” said Benjamin Marais, CIO at MTN SA.
“We apologise for the inconvenience this may have caused. Our team is working around the clock on resolving this matter.”
