Cell C website downtime frustrates users
Numerous users have reported the downtime of Cell C’s website. The reports started to emerge on Monday morning (2 January 2012), but many users indicated that the downtime started on Sunday 1 January.
While the website did not load when requested in a browser, it still responded to ping requests which means that the host is reachable.
Some users also reported that they could still check their Cell C data usage despite the fact that the company’s website was down.
Cell C was contacted for feedback about the cause of the website downtime and asked when they expect the problems to be resolved, but the company did not respond by the time of publication.
