Some Vodacom subscribers have reported today (18 January 2012) that when they log into the Vodacom.co.za online portal they are sometimes presented with another person’s data.
A MyBroadband forum member posted that they got full access to another person’s account after receiving the error message: “Stack overflow at line: 0”.
Other users reported the same issue on Twitter, with one posting screenshots showing himself logged into two different accounts.
We tried contacting both numbers shown in the screenshots but were greeted with the “subscriber is not available at present” message.
Nomsa Thusi, Vodacom’s head of client services explained, “There was a caching problem on the system. We have now cleared the cache and asked the affected people to retest and it seems that the problem is now resolved.”
