Surprising revelation in SA cellular satisfaction rate

A new early adopter survey, conducted by research firm BMI-T, revealed that most tech savvy consumers will stay with their current service provider, even if they can move without any hassles or penalties.
According to the BMI-T survey, which was completed by 842 tech savvy individuals, 61% said that they will stay with their current service provider even if they were able to move to a new provider with no hassles, no penalty fees and keeping your current cellphone number.
“It is clear that there are a number of disgruntled mobile service provider customers, with almost 40% of the early adopters saying that they would move straight away if they could,” said Ryan Smit, senior analyst at BMI-T.
The survey further revealed that Cell C is likely to benefit the most from early adopter migrations.
60% of the individuals who were surveyed said that they would move to Cell C if they migrate to another operator, followed by 8ta (19%) and Vodacom (11%).
“Cell C has clearly been very successful in shaking up the local market as they would be the choice of the majority of the disgruntled customers,” said Smit.
