MTN data price reductions extended
MTN has officially announced that it has extended its big mobile data sale until 30 September 2013.
MTN launched its big data sale in March 2013, offering significant discounts on contract, top-up, and pre-paid mobile data bundles.
“The price plan reduction has proven to be sufficiently successful and we have decided to extend these data offerings to our customers until 30 September 2013,” said Serame Taukobong, Chief Marketing Officer at MTN SA.
MTN also announced that it is reducing the existing 500MB Internet bundle for this extension period from the usual R119 to R99.
For the next 3 months MTN customers can continue to enjoy the following benefits:
- Receive 10MB free when they purchase a 10MB Internet bundle for R10;
- Received 25MB free when they purchase a 75MB Internet bundle for only R29;
- 300MB Internet bundle has been reduced from R149 to R79;
- 500MB Internet bundle has been reduced from R119 to R99;
- 1GB Internet bundle has been reduced from R289 to R149; and
- 2GB Internet bundle has been reduced from R389 to R245.
MTN’s contract customers will also continue to benefit from the following until the 30 September 2013:
- Pay only R49 for 500MB on a monthly basis;
- 1GB price plan has been reduced from R99 to R79 per month;
- 1GB TopUp plan costs R99, reduced from R129 every month;
- 2GB plan has been reduced from R139 to R119 per month; and
- 2GB TopUp has been reduced from R189 to R149 monthly.
