Hetzner co-location hosting services launched
Hetzner South Africa has launched co-location hosting services at its new Data Centre Park in Samrand, Gauteng.
Athena Turner, marketing and communications manager for Hetzner said that their co-location offering is a high-quality, cost-effective option for businesses that require a stable, high-performance network while maintaining complete control over hardware and server administration.
“You supply the hardware, we offer you the full benefit of a world-class facility,” Turner said
Hetzner’s co-location offering includes a full rack at R5,700 per month, with a half Rack at R3,500 per month available soon. There are no setup costs.
The co-location hosting services at Hetzner also include the following features and benefits:
- Monthly contract period.
- Servers benefit from efficient airflow with customised Cold Aisle Containment pods.
- Racks are wider than the industry norm, giving customers additional space to work with their equipment.
- The data centre uses direct free cooling, reducing power consumption and Hetzner’s carbon footprint.
- Co-location customers have unattended access to their servers with biometric access and PIN code lockable racks.
- The facility offers fully redundant, physically separated A+B power feeds.
- Traffic at R2.20 per GB and power consumption at R0.95 per kWh.
“With our co-location hosting we’re offering customers a reliable and cost effective alternative,” Turner said.
“There are no setup fees when installing your equipment and the contract is monthly, same as all our other hosting services,” she added. “We’d like our customers to host and remain with Hetzner because they have come to trust our reliable service.”
