Apple TV operating system update announced

Apple has announced an update to tvOS, which will bring a number of new features to Apple TV.

Some of the new features announced include folders, dictation, Siri for the App Store, and access to your iCloud photo library.

  • Folders: Organise apps into folders on your Apple TV home screen.
  • Dictation: Use voice to enter text on the screen, including usernames and passwords.
  • Siri: Added the ability to ask Siri for any app, or type of app in the App Store.
  • iCloud: Apple has added the ability to access your iCloud photo library through Apple TV.

The update for tvOS will start rolling out from 21 March.
