Qualcomm unveils next-generation Snapdragon 835 CPU
Qualcomm has unveiled its Snapdragon 835 CPU, which will be made in partnership with Samsung.
The processor will be made using Samsung’s 10-nanometer FinFET process, and will provide 27% better performance while using up to 40% less power compared to 14nm FinFET rivals.
Process improvements, combined with a more advanced chip design, are expected to bring significant improvements in battery life.
“Snapdragon 835 is in production now and expected to ship in commercial devices in the first half of 2017,” said Qualcomm.
