New overclocking record
BIOSTAR and AMD have set a new overclocking record using a BIOSTAR TA790GX 128M motherboard, together with an AMD Phenom X3 8450 processor, improving the systems performance from 2100 MHz to 3093 MHz, an increase of almost 50%.
The record has been verified through two independent global review tools, the Overclocking World Database and CPU-Z Validation Database.
“The BIOSTAR motherboard, is shipped with specialised software called TPower, which allows the user to manually overclock the system,” says Comstar Technologies’ Managing Director, Amit Pansari.
“Combined with the AMD 790GX chipset and the AMD Phenom triple core X3 8450 processor, we managed to achieve this remarkable result.”
“If the user is less technical, he or she can set the BIOSTAR overclocking software to ‘automatic’ overclocking mode, which analyses the machine’s components and maximizes its potential”.
AMD Phenom X3 triple core processors are designed to improve multi-threaded application performance over dual-core processors at the same clock speed. The AMD 790GX chipset contains several AMD innovations that further improve both multi-core AMD Phenom processor performance and motherboard graphics performance.
