Microsoft has upped the minimum RAM requirements for Windows 10 for PC, which takes effect as part of the Anniversary Update release.
The new minimum hardware requirements list 2GB of RAM as the standard for 32-bit desktop versions of Windows 10.
This brings the RAM standard in line with that of the 64-bit requirements, reported by Ars Technica.
The minimum system requirements defined by Microsoft for desktop versions of Windows 10 are:
- Processor – 1GHz
- RAM – 2GB
- Storage – 16GB for 32-bit / 32GB for 64-bit
- Display Resolution – 800 x 600
