22seven iPhone app launched

22Seven Security

22seven announced in an e-mail to users today (22 April 2013) that it has launched the first version of their iPhone app, promising more features and an Android app.

The real value of the app is not where users can access it, 22seven said, but in how they could use it.

“At the supermarket, find out if your money’s tight or safe to spend. At a restaurant, see if you’ve spent more or less than you planned to on eating out. Use it to make better money decisions, more often,” 22seven said.

While 22seven said it has “huge ambitions” for mobile and that it will always be evolving and improving its app, users will need to use the web-based desktop client to:

  • sign up with 22seven or link accounts;
  • update Investec and Capitec accounts using your one time password;
  • make your own plan if you don’t want to use 22seven’s automatically generated one.
