Samsung avoids Apple injunction
Samsung has sidestepped an injunction that banned sales of the Galaxy Tab 7.0 in Germany by releasing a German only version, the Galaxy Tab 7.0N.
This tablet, along with the Galaxy Tab 10.1N, was developed in response to the injunction that prevented Samsung tablet sales in Germany. The injunction was granted by a German court after Apple successfully proved that the design of the Galaxy Tab closely resembles that of the company’s own iPad range of tablet PCs.
It features a slightly redesigned physical layout as the only change, on the inside the specifications are exactly the same as the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus sold in other parts of the world.
The Galaxy Tab 7.0N is not expected to retail outside of Germany.
