Gumtree murder case postponed

A murder case against four men accused of killing a car owner while posing as prospective buyers, has been postponed by the Mitchells Plain Magistrate’s Court, it was reported on Thursday
The Cape Times reported that Jason Elias, 30, Rameez Felix, 29, and Shawaal Staggie, 26, appeared in court on Wednesday.
The case was postponed until November 9, when they were expected to bring a formal bail application.
A fourth accused, Soegbudien Abvajee, 52, is serving the remainder of his sentence for a previous conviction, which came into effect when he broke his parole conditions with the murder allegation.
The four allegedly killed Olwyn Cowley, 21, for his BMW at the end of August.
They contacted him through the classified website Gumtree, and met him at a petrol station in Century City. His body was found the next day with two bullet wounds in the head on Monwabisi Beach.
