Web Africa down
Numerous Web Africa ADSL and hosting clients complained that their services went down shortly before noon today.
According to feedback from Web Africa subscribers they could not access any of their Web Africa services, and the company’s website and helpdesk was also unavailable.
Web Africa has confirmed that they are experiencing downtime which started around 11:40 today, and that the problem was likely caused by a problem on their core router.
“We have located an issue on our core router and we are investigating the quickest solution to the connectivity problems being experienced,” the company said in a post on the MyBroadband forums.
Web Africa could not be reached for official comment by the time of publication.
Update: At 12:40 Web Africa said that they have resolved the problem with their core router, and that their services are starting to come back online.
