Web Africa down

Web Africa’s ADSL and hosting services are down, a problem which is likely caused by problems in the Cape Town data centre

Update: Our systems are currently coming back online and everything should be resolved shortly. More details to be provided shortly.

***** happens...not just because of Seacom it seems

Im having trouble with AfriHost aswell... So Im stuck on Telkom local only atm...

Actually this is beyond ridiculous. I have had a few instances with web africa under-performing. Clients been down for days. I rate them the best in south africa, but it seems ZA's best is absolute crap in comparison.

You charge more for less.

Now which to choose:
Hostgator
or
BlueHost

ok, everything is still down. I hope this will be addressed as this is not the kind of service you would expect from webafrica.

Big up to WebAfrica for keeping us informed via Twitter, Facebook and MyBB. I just wish that Telkom, MTN, Vodacom, Cell C and so many other SPs would do the same. With these companies you only hear about the problems days, weeks or even months later, in a press release or a news article on a major website.

Now... they said everything is resolved and services should be coming online shortly... My websites are still down. Can anyone else confirm if any of there services are back up as yet?

The Mail servers are running fine now, but DSL still failing to authenticate.
