MultiChoice on fire
A MultiChoice building caught fire this afternoon, which caused parts of its offices to be evacuated.
MultiChoice tweeted that the fire had broken out at the SuperSport media solutions building in Randburg.
At the time of writing, the fire was being put out and was under control, stated MultiChoice.
“The building has been evacuated and there are no confirmed injuries. The fire department is on the scene,” said the company.
According to initial reports, the cause of the fire has not yet been identified.
However, a City of Joburg emergency services spokesperson stated that “waterproofing repairs on the roof of the media solutions building” might be the cause of the fire.
