Hardware Failure Error Code : E68
Ok got myself an xbox360 today to see how good it was
Cheated and got one through a cell contract at the office which needed upgrading so only got the core system.
So anyway got the box and went and got myself the 20gig harddrive to plug in.
Get home setup the box , plug in the harddrive get system error E 68, look on www.xbox.com/support , say E68 is hardware failure, take said harddrive back replace with new harddrive , get home plug in get error code. Go to mates house try in his box same thing E68 hardware failure.
Start google , find that this E68 code can either be because the hardware is brocken OR that the plug is not making contact properly.
Solution: Switch off box, put in vertical position, plug in harddrive, place hand firmly on harddrive above the connector, push down firmly and switch on the box.
ta-da she works.
Thought would post this just incase some other poor sod gets this error message as the www.xbox.com/support website is rather lacking.
