I am on the Topup 315 contract and i was going to buy a data bundle using the *111# thingy.
Now what i need to know is do i want broadband advanced or broadband standard?
Back in the day i used to just get like 75Mb a month, need to get at least a 250Mb bundle now(oh how times have changed) and preferably just a once off thing.
Do any of them carry over to the following month because that would be cool? :D
I did do a search and just got alot of threads of people moaning :D

If you are surfing the web on your phone, rather just take the broadband standard.

The bundles do carry over, they expire on the last day of the next month ie if you buy it now it will expire on the last day of july.

Broadband advanced costs more but out of bundle rates are cheaper. You will receive notification when you are close to depletion of your data bundle so be careful otherwise you will start using you voice airtime. All data carries over e.g if you purchase data today it is valid till the end of next month.

pm me with your contact number and i will get some one to call you

It seems to me they are forcing people to use the ADVANCE.
Try this:
Buy your MyGig 2,5 for R469 then buy the R1000 special that gives you a R100 bonus and when your 2,5 Gig is done, you will be on the Out-O-Bundle price, that is withADVANCE the same than In-Bundle. So you will remain on the 18c per MB after your bundle is depleted??
:-) :-) ;-)

Ya Monkey, the advance and standard will only expire the last day of the following month. So if you manage it right, your data can last up to 60days.

If I'm surfing the internet using a USB modem must I fill up with advanced or standard? Are each of them specifically used?

Pre-paid or contract? Are you buying once-off or month-to-month bundles?

If I can also ask a question on this topic: If I buy a MyGig 2 (Advanced) bundle on pre-paid, and the bundle is depleted and I buy more airtime, I can continue using the airtime for data, seeing that IBR = OBR, and I never have to explicitly buy a new MyGig 2 bundle (or worry about unused data in the bundle expiring after 60 days)?

The way I understand it, the OBR will revert to the usual punitive rate and your bundle balance will expire at the end of the next calendar month (up to 60 days from purchase date).

So you will still need to purchase another bundle on the 1st of the next month.
