I am still very new to media players, I would like your opinion on this media player.

Looks like its external drive only... Wonder if it will support ntfs?

Sup man, bought this some time ago. The GUI is crap (everything is blue - gives it a very cheap feel) but if your sole purpose is to just play movies (mkvs etc) then it is good enough.It handles 1080p rendering quite well. You can't create playlists with it so you are limited to playing music from one folder at a time..That is why i prefer to stream to my ps3 for music needs.

And it supports NTFS just fine :)

thanks for the info, gonna def get one of these baby's and to hell with buying the sony bluray player i was thinking of getting
 
Now wondering if the Western Digital isn't a better buy.
