Course 1 MyBB Special Info:
As a special promotion to myBB members resident in the Cape Town area, or willing to travel to our premises at the Killarney Motor Racing Circuit in Table View, Cape Town, we would like to offer all interested members a discount on our Course 1 programme. The course normally sells for R 1 425.00 (incl. VAT), which we now offer at a discounted price of R 855.00 (incl. VAT). To be eligible, members will have to provide us with their myBB nickname as entry requirement. This discount is only available to myBB members, and far below our normal discounted rates. This offer is available till the end of October 2010, with final attendance no later than 29 November 2010.
Delegates may choose to either attend the whole day (08h00 - 16h00), or have the opportunity to sit out on the theory (although this is not recommended) and only join for the Skid-pan practical session in the afternoon (13h00 - 16h00). Regardless of the choice, the price will remain the same. However, should you consider doing any additional modules that we offer, the morning theory session will be compulsory (could be completed at a later stage if required).
Points to note:
• All courses are attended in your own vehicle - one person per vehicle.
• All courses are only provided at our premises: Killarney training Centre, Killarney Motor Racing Circuit, Potsdam Road, Table View.
• Advance booking and scheduling is essential.
Course 1 consists of two parts:
Part 1 - Morning theory session (08h00 - 12h30) dealing with items such as:
• Accident Prevention (Think and Do of driving)
• Motor Law (Negligence and causation)
• Defensive Driving (Creating a safety cushion around the vehicle)
• Accident prevention and collision avoidance (Vehicle dynamics Introduction)
Part 2 - After lunch (light finger lunch provided) the Skid-pan Practical (13h00 - 16h00):
• Crash braking
• Controlled braking
• Over-steer control
• Under-steer control
• Emergency lane change
• Duel surface braking.
