You can't really compare a device that downloads maps off the internet with a proper GPS.

I'm interested to know if this device will have any traffic info capabilities ?

EDIT: Yes
TomTom LIVE includes live traffic information, the positions of fixed safety cameras, local Google search and weather forecasts.

No. Dedicated devices rule. Next you'll tell me that you don't need proper digital slr cameras as your cellphone's camera is sufficient.

In fact, where does one buy Tom Tom software for other devices that can run off SD card? I have Garmin and to be honest - it sucks! I have been testing nDrive and that seems fine but sometimes my garmin doesn't know where the hell i am but gives me directions for roads i am no where near too...

So, where does one buy Tom Tom software? I have tried the site but just don't get to a "Buy" link that is software only. OR where can i get the software other than the supplier site?

i got a go 750 live this past tuesday - would have been nice if i knew about this, but actually cant really see much different to the go 750 live and this one -> altho maybe theres unstated benefits like a longer battery life
the live traffic system works far better than i expected it to and the voice recognition functions adequately as well.
I personally find it that it registers a second press of a key if u dont tap very quickly - so i wouldnt want a more sensitive screen.

nDrive on the Android is awesome ... it does better then my mom's dedicated Tom Tom sometimes!

You underestimate Ovi maps it does the full visual and voice guidance thing. I used Tom Tom a couple of years ago in the UK. When I first got Ovi maps on my Nokia I thought it was Tom Tom. I will give you that it doesn't do traffic updates or pig spotting YET!

My SE C902 cellphone camera rules ALL SLR cameras ;)

Edit: wrong forum. :)

It certainly is. I wanted the new maps, i have 2009 maps, and the nDrive guys said that the v10 is not yet compatible with my device so I wanted to try Tom Tom but i cannot ind demo software for SD card nor buy software.

But with my experience with my OWN Garmin WITH updated, latest, maps I sometimes have to stop on the side of the road, if i really don't know where i am, so the thing can "FIND" me!!!

NAh, as far as i am concerned the nDrive is WAY better than Garmin in that respect.
