MWEB 384k Uncapped Shaped Daily Speed Results - Random & Various Tests

Right, so I thought I would mirror theOpenweb uncapped thread. Mine is a little different though.
Won't do any speedtests, partly because I am always downloading, and that effetcs the speedtest and I am to lazy to pause my downloads and then see if it connects again. Couldn't be bothered. Also heard rumours that speedtest site is never shaped so it deliveres 'fake' results? Don't know if it's true or not.

You're more than welcome to post relevant results. Pasting 4mb 18GB daily downloads on a 384k thread is a bit silly. :p

Right so let me start... I will update whenever I can with how ever many stats I feel like pasting and retrieving. Feel free to barge in...

Why not do it in the Mweb tread, The last thing we need is yet another Mweb tread , just a suggestion

Thanks Adrenalin, this information is always valuable. I might not always respond on a thread but it does not mean it goes unnoticed.
 
News Server does not work since this morning.

According to tech support, it could be because of the mail server also going down this morning.

SMS will be sent to me when it's back up. We hope.

Huge latency. Cape Town speedtest failed.
 
I have had uninterrupted good speed the weekend so far. Interestingly my DL amount is not much more than your posted results, yet I am on a 512 package and getting avrg DL speeds of about 55 kBps. Your 384 connection really did exceptionally that day.

384k account. 512k line.

News server still down. Google DNS as well as two DNS's given by MWEB Ops don't work. No sms yet either.

I wait patiently...
 
Adrenalin, I got unshaped account and I managed only 137mb in 1 hour. it was Http download. wow your speeds are amazing. is because of your 512k line?

adrenalin, this is what I am experiencing. Speedtest is fast, browsing, normal downloading is super fast, but torrents are below 5kb/s
 
Yeah well nice way to keep track of how many days my uncapped package is actually worth it. R219 / 30 days less downtime i bet it's like having a R99 Axxess just surf account!!

HTTP cruizing at 41.8kb. Except when i switch the microwave on :p
