Eskom signs contracts to avoid electricity blackouts by 2011

No Eskom. I will not get on board with any of these pathetic requests which beg for compromise. I will not make your life easier. If you can't competently provide the market with sufficient electricity, you have no right to tell others they can't. You have no moral right to exist as a legislated monopoly. If I and others give in to your requests to lower our usage, that will only falsely make you look more competent than you actually are, and I'll have none of that. Go straight to hell.
 
Thats pretty solid. 2mw...thats about enough to cover 6 months worth of growth iirc. And half is renewable...not bad.
 
Eskom version of avoiding blackouts is calling them "loadshedding"
 
From the spelling police (but in this case it does matter):
"megawatt", not "mega watts" - one word and do not use plural (same as for metre, litre, etc.)
"MW", not "mw" - mw is milli-something

I do sometimes fear that Eskom do not know the difference between milli- and mega- !

WTF? I dont follow. They hike up elec prices to build new power plants etc, now they "outsourcing" electricity? So whats was the hike in elec for then? To feed the fat cats even more?? What did I miss?
