BT Games' Online Service Sucks

E-mail address is basically <surname>.<initials>@gmail.com so also no.

I see you are using gmail, did you check your spam folder?

I also agree that BT Games website is pathetic. Take 2's website is much better. I don't buy that many games from BT, but when I do and I want to pay, they always have issues with their system (being extremely slow or losing connection) and I always get the same answer, they are busy updating the system or they tried to update but had to go back to the old system. (Tygervalley branch).

One thing that really pisses me off, when you stand in the queue to buy something, the staff feels it is necessary to have a 10 minute discussion with the client currently paying for their game (maybe not 10 minutes, but it feels like it). They don't have to be rude to the client, just say 'sorry I cannot chat now I need to attend to the other clients'.

No, the thought never occurred to me  Yes, of course I did  :p

My biggest concern with BT staff is that the ones I have come across don't quite have a clue what they're talking about (the fair majority of them don't strike me as being interested in gaming whatsoever) and that, quite simply, I've stepped into their store with a purpose; not to have stuff I'm not interested pawned off on me. It's semi-insulting :p

As for their website, I agree again. I've complained about it in the past as well but as I said, it's something you learn to ignore and take with some salt. However, when e-mails don't get responded to it becomes a bit more difficult to ignore and not take personally. Still waiting on a reply from Glen... Here's hoping.

If I place any orders using my Gmail account I get zero response.

BT Games officially has the most unfriendly staff in the world. Except for the fourways branch, dunno his name but he was pretty helpful.

There is a little red head chap who works at the Northgate branch and all I can say is he needs some serious training on how to work in a retail shop.

Can anyone else confirm this? If BT have listed Gmail addresses as spam then well, only one word comes to mind, "imbecilic."

I've never experienced unfriendliness just a sort of mix of disinterest and lack of any knowledge of the products they sell--that they work there because they have to, not because they want to.

Yip, they do mention that if you use Gmail to please check your junk mail folder, however I am yet to receive an order conformation via my gmail.

Yeah I guess disinterest is most likely the case. It doesn't seem like they could really be bothered.

I receive confirmations perfectly fine. No problem there. It are responses from the folk that I'm not getting. So far still nada :/

It does seem that way. Even under the odd occurrence that e-mails find themselves in BT's spam folder, you'd think someone would, at the very least, check to make sure clients' e-mails aren't winding up there!

And what kind of backwards spam filter are they using anyway if that's the case???

i concur. i've only met so far 1 staff person that actually wants to do his work.

And the verdict is in!

Hi there.

If you pay beforehand the store will keep your game for 30days before canceling your order, the store will sms you when the game is released as well but it will still stay valid for 7days after release date before it expires if you haven’t paid

Kind Regards

So I finally received my response thanks to the e-mail to [email protected] (thank you, Nec & Satanboy!) however, the online service still remains foul if you consider that I still haven't received a response from orders@bt :)

Oh well, much appreciation goes out to Jeremy van Rooyen.
