CellC and Month Ends

Is it just me or does CellC slow down dramatically towards month end?

Last month it was the last day of the month. This time round Friday morning was decent, Saturday slower, Sunday even slower and now I've switched to my old Voda 3G card

I'm thinking everything has slowed because users are trying to use up the remainder of their monthly bundle
 
I am still running at constant good speeds. Last night I even got up to 5Mb/sec download speeds while doing random speedtest.
But, i think your theory is probably correct.
Will see tonight as i still have around 700mb left, and I cant let that go to waste :D
 
The 'waste' comment above is what causes the slow down. The 'use it or lose it' story means people all try to get their money's worth at the end of the month, to use their remaining data.

If we had roll-over, we would have a much more even distribution of usage over the month. They have decided to put profits before user experience...
 
Pretty slow in Durban for the first time in weeks. Must be the end of the month. I wonder how many terabytes of data people go through on the last day of the month...
 
Yeah its quite slow today....and yes I am one of those burning my cap..lol
 
I'm was around 128k average a while ago - now at aroun 56k average ... Unusable.

Also using my Voda SIM
 
Very slow, yes! Was getting about 1 mbit earlier this evening, but now just terrible! RSSI -70 dBm.

On things time related, great improvement on the resetting of the data bundles. Immediately got my 5gb at 12am!

Remember to start your downloads maybe a day or 2 before the evening of the 31st (Thursday) to avoid the slow-down!
 
I can't seem to blow my last 250mb,especially after getting the dreaded sms.
 
Stick connects, but no internet access :(
What does the dreaded sms say?
My stick is in router, so no access to my cellc dashboard and sms.
 
My CellC connection just died about 30 minutes, got decent signal on 2 towers, connects but no traffic :(
