Neotel: “We are not another Sentech”

There is no link in article to this thread.

Funny that they are saying they not another Sentech but they are definetly showing signs of being one.

I think they could learn a thing or two from telkom.... rather keep quiet instead of responding to bad publicity....

cos now it only makes them look worse

lol...I just ordered my adsl line this morning...good-bye Neohell!

As long as they keep offering wireless consumer services then they are another Sentech. They were licensed to provide fixed line services FFS!

waah-waah-waah

...cry babies... Your **** went south and now you have a big fat lip.

From the current article:

According to Hay, Neotel is not planning to grow its CDMA and WiMax networks to many new areas, but pointed out that they will continue to invest in these wireless networks to address any congestion or other problems which may occur.

Neotel will also continue to market its residential offerings, sign up new customers and support their current customer base. “We are definitely not another Sentech,” said Hay.

From a previous article:

Neotel CTO Angus Hay said that there has been a misconception in the market that Neotel would be a ‘second national operator’ - aka a ‘Telkom 2’.

Hay said that at launch Neotel made it clear that they are not the second national operator, but rather the country’s first converged telecoms company.

From another previous article:

Bad news for consumers is that Neotel does not have immediate plans to offer FTTH services. Neotel CTO Angus Hay said that they have no short term plans to roll out a fibre access network to residential customers as the business case simply does not make sense.

Well then Mr. Hay, wtf IS Neotel planning to do?

No plans to extend Wimax, no Fibre for consumers. We're sick and tired of hearing what you are not, and what you can't do.

Anyone have links from 2006-2007 when these clowns made sweeping statements.

So they are not a SNO and they not a Sentech, looks like they don't know what they hell they are.

At least they know that they are converged, orange and run at a loss. They think they played a part in reducing data costs in South Africa; but I doubt investors would clap hands to that slide any time soon.

Neotel: “We are not another Sentech”
Beetman: "Prove it"

Neotel: "We offer a converged solution and we are orange. Just because we also run at a loss and offer no value for investors DOES NOT MEAN WE ARE ANOTHER SENTECH, sniff sniff...."

+1

I think we can all agree: they are not anything of note.
And even they know that; that's what all these "we are not" articles are leading up to.

Friends of mine have Sentech. It's not a bad service. Cheap phone calls and 2.4mbps internet, not bad!

Yes, they're not like Sentech at all.

Sentech at least tried to provide some service before they failed hard. Neotel never even made an effort.
