CO.ZA whois service suffers DDoS attack

Probably one of the infinite customers upset at the piss poor service from Uniforum.

The systems are so cruddy and so old, they are probably getting hit off the internet with winnuke95.exe.

Heres a word to help the backwards folk at uniforum. "Captcha". Tadaaa!

Teardrop?

Full of Fail

If you have ever had to deal directly with COZA, you'll know their systems are full of fail and they seem unwilling to improve any of their "APIs" etc.

Even the most basic changes take 24 hours! All payments are manually processed. Silly rules eg requiring PTR to match NS server's forward lookup etc.

When I pointed out the deficiencies in their maximum lookups per IP address in 2008 after being spammed using data that was clearly gathered from co.za all I got was attitude back from Calvin Browne.

Karma, what can I say?

Wow, who did they hire for their network-security? Some Student at Stellenbosch? Hire a real company, take a few of those fat pay-checks and invest in security.

I think this is a result of the *sucks.co.za article on MyBroadband :-) People are looking for potential *sucks.co.za to register! Dibs on the term "Starsucks Domain Hogger"!

They are non profit, meaning they can be totally useless and have an excuse.

Registration system from 1996, wd, maybe a real company can run .co.za in the near future.

Seems this may have happened again. The website has been down for several days now.
