Having issues with my HTC Desire HD. Got the phone from 4u on a Vodacom contract upgrade in Jan.
Problem started 2 weeks after I bought the phone then it became permanent for the past month and a half. The problem is that you cannot send and receive calls but can use the internet. When someone phones is rings only for them and then goes to your voice mail without ringing on your phone itself. When you call someone i.e. 121 the phone does nothing except show the green bar flashing at the top of the phone. Putting the sim in another phone then that phone does work.
So I put a friends Cell C sim in the Desire HD and tried the phone. Tried phoning and it works. Went to a small Vodacare outlet and explained the problem. They put their sim in and it it could not send or receive calls. After changing the network settings to GSM only the phone could send and receive calls. They did explain that a couple of clients have reported the exact same problem (3 customers in the past 2 days) to them and one even had the phone sent back to HTC and when it came back to SA it stopped working again.
Anyone else experience the problem with an HTC device?
