Working 3G solution TF101 ICS (root)

Hi guys, I came across a post on the Nexus 7 thread (rodga) regarding an app that allows you to create a ppp connection via USB 3G stick.

To my amazement it works on my TF101! I know there were some hacks to get 3G working on Honeycomb but with the later ICS updates it no longer seemed to work.

I only tested on ICS so not sure if it will work on the JB roms... I'm on Revolution HD. I tested with my Huawei E1752.

Just to let you know that all I had to do was to set the apn to "internet". I also found that at times the widget could become non responsive but clearing the app data seems to sort that out. I need to do some more testing though.

The really cool thing for the N7 owners is that they now can have 3G + Microsd (build in on my modem) via OTG cable and compatible 3G modem.

Can not wait to see if it works with the black Cell C USB stick....

Will check tonight when I get home.

Edit: Never mind. It works, forgot that one of my colleagues had one as well.

HI peeps..any suggestions as to what app to use to read .mobi files on the tab? Been using a converter but it is quite a mission and was wondering if there isn't an app that can be used to read the .mobi files instead of having to convert each one..

You using Calibre for your conversions?

Cause it had batch mode. Import, Select All convert, leave overnight and you are sorted.

Thats why I mentioned it, also bought it on the 20c sale, was in Gameloft live app now and saw it had an install icon under my list of games. Looks like they finally caught on.

Nova 3 and heaps of the others now all allow to install. (now just waiting for Nova 3 to go on sale)
 
OK I officially found out why not using standard cables suck.

Our puppy chew my phone and tablet cables The phone is not an issue, I can just go get a new one the tablet on the other hand... so here is the question. Do anyone know where you can pick up an ASUS Transformer USB cable on its own?

(If I had my way the puppy would be homeless right now :D )
 
Saw some on Amazon and Ebay.
I suspect it will be an arm and a leg via Asus...

Please let us know if you do get one, I would like to have a longer cable.
