This is one of the reasons why experienced employers do not accept resignations when they know that the employee is unsure of their real intention to leave.
 
The article implies something about loaded suggestions, but then appears to only really mention people sending a resignation by text message.

They can reverse it if both parties agree. Resignations are slightly odd in that there is no requirement for the employer to accept for it to take effect, but once the employer does accept the employee cannot unilaterally withdraw it because it becomes an agreement.
