k mine's not quite doing that. I'm a 5GB prepaidpromospeedstickz user and I bought R50 via Internet Banking which got me the 500MB extra which is cool (plus the 50 SMSs which I don't really care about). I then immediately converted the R50 airtime into a 100MB data bundle because I don't need the airtime either.
I then went on a lekker downloading spree and the 500MB was used up first, leaving whatever remained of my regular 5GB p/m alone, which is cool. But now that the 500 MB is gone it's back to deducting from my main 5GB and not from the 100MB (which I guess will probably expire come next week unless I use up all of the 5GB first which I obviously don't wanna do).
When I check my balance I see:
My balance: Balance = R0.00 Expiry date:27/12/2030.Free Data = 100.00 MB. Free Data = 429.34 MB.Recharge Reward SMS = 50. Recharge Reward
(Just to be clear, that 429.34 MB is what's left of my regular 5GB and not what's left of the extra 500 MB which has already been used up).
then immediately converted the R50 airtime into a 100MB data bundle
why do you guys use the small bundles? R50 for 100MB = 50c/MB whereas the OOB rate is 39c/MB so you actually get more value by not taking the small bundles and just using the airtime. The two smallest bundles are both more expensive than OOB rates

No, as long as you have airtime available you can keep on surfing after you exceed your cap. This deal is pretty nice to get through those final days of the month!
Please tell me how to convert airtime into data? Thanks.
you guys pay for internet?
I use the Cell C dashboard software. On the Services tab, select "Self Service (USSD)" in the drop-down, then the 2nd option (Data Bundles) and just follow the prompts from there. If you have the SIM in a phone, I believe dialing *147# will get you to the same USSD menu. There might be other ways as well that I'm not aware of.
Hi i loaded R50 airtime on Friday not knowing about the promo is it only available on weekends or is it if i had loaded it on Monday would have had my 500mb all week?
You have until midnight on Sundays to use the SMSs + Data + Cell C to Cell C minutes. You keep the regular airtime that you paid for.
That's why it's recommended, that you recharge on Mondays which allows you 7 days to use the Data + SMSs + Cell C to Cell C minutes.
I bought R100 worth of airtime today, but haven't recharged. Can I recharge tomorrow (Monday) so that the data will be valid in the Monday to Sunday window?
