HTC Sensation launch on the horizon

Battery life is a little it of a problem, but all in all a great phone. Although I rather would have the Desire S! So where is the news on that?????
 
I'm due for upgrade next month, and I want this phone! Only problem is that I'm on MTN. If MTN does not provide this phone it will be enough for me to switch providers.

From what I have read on engadget, the battery seems to do ok if you are not using the phone intensively, and if you are then it needs to be charged every day, which is pretty standard for most newer smartphones. What did you hear about the battery?

My contract with Virgin is coming to an end in Aug, so seriously considering going with this phone.

Im also with MTN, how good is virgin mobile though? I am also willing to port, after MTN messed me around with the Desire HD I couldnt care less about them.

Edit: Does this contract have a pay in? Dont see anything on the add.

Oh my! MTN are so out of it... I can't wait for an unknown date for them to bring this. My contract is ready for an upgrade... I cannot go with VC, was for years and they refused to cover my house after many requests.

What do you guys think of Virgin? I've heard bad things, but I am desperate to have this.

Except that if you're due for upgrade next month, that means your contract only ends 3 months after that, by which time MTN will have it anyway.
 
I haven't actually had any problems with Virgin. Their call centre is not much fun to call, but then who's is? :) Never had any problem with the network. When I went overseas in April for a month and got roaming enabled, all the countries I went to were covered (unlike my wife's VC phone) and I made calls, sent sms's and went online and didnt spend more than R250 while away.
 
I can't believe that MyBB used the word "imminent" in an article :-) In all probability the world will never see that phone now!

I don't think Virgin is any good. Service is like Neotel.

I'm so jealous. I would happily switch to VC if I could get service in my house!

Looks like my waiting for all these months is going to be delayed a little more.
 
Here is what i know.
There is apparently a problem getting HTC phones (and SE) due to Japan Tsunami.
This HTC sensation was rumoured to be below 6k, but seems its the same price as Galaxy S2.

So here is my problem:
Desire S has been out a long time and nobody has it.
Autopage has a special R250 on MTN 200 for Desire S (which is bloody cheap). However i applied for this as part of my upgrade 3 weeks ago - and nobody knows when stock is coming.
With the Galaxy S2 being a bit too expensive for me, i seriously dont know what to get (mid range Sammy phones are crap (as compared to Desire S and SE Neo) though the new Galaxy Z may change it).
I then applied for a special on Iphone 4 32GB (R220 pm on VC Offpeak 120) thro Hifi Corp - another bloody brilliant special (but do i really need another contract). I am still thinking of whether to accept it as i want to go andriod.
The other option is i wait and port or negotiate with Autopage for when all the Andriods come out.

mtn has really lost it, i've been on autopage mtn since forever, but they want r200 (mtnsp) per month for a desire where it costs 135 on vodacom, for that reason I'm going to switch as soon as the desire s comes onto vodacom.

I actually think Autopage has lost it. I'm switching from them after 8 years of getting ripped off on every upgrade.
