The ANC National Disciplinary Committee has confirmed it has charged Julius Malema with various various violations.

The committee says: "Comrade Julius Malema has been charged with various violations of the ANC Constitution, including bringing the ANC into disrepute through his utterances and statements on Botswana and sowing divisions in the ranks of the African National Congress."

"The disciplinary matter concerning Comrade Julius is now in the hands of the ANC National Disciplinary Committee, will henceforth deal with the date, venue and time of the hearing."

The committee says: "In accordance with the provisions of the Constitution of the ANC as described in the Appendix to the Constitution, Comrade Malema will have an opportunity to defend himself against these charges in a properly convened hearing."

"He will be entitled to be represented by a member of the ANC whose membership is in good standing."

Order loads of popcorn and strap yourselves in.

This is going to be a bumpy ride.

Worst case scenario - he will actually be charged, but then it will all inexplicably fall apart, and he will emerge stronger than ever.

History repeating - see Zuma.

Predicted outcome:

"Comrade Malema has been found guilty on 4 of the 5 charges and is sentenced to apologise to the ANC at large in public within 90 calendar days. No further punishment is deemed necessary as Comrade Malema has promised to uphold the ANC-constitution and image. I thank you."

Didn't they send Juju to political school the last time ?

Well the devil incarnate has graduated..... movin' on up now

Eish.. it would not surprise me in the least is Malema has a car accident or something soon and is done with... I think that he has managed to focus more than enough attention on the machinery that would rather have remained in the shadows.

Zuma definitly doesn't have the spine...

neither does anyone else in the NEC if you ask me.

/me gets popcorn!

Will be interesting to see what comes of this. Who exactly has the power to tell Malema to piss off? Can Mantashe do it?

Really doubt anything serious will happen to him, let's say he is expelled, the ANCYL will cause such chaos on the streets until their leader is reinstated and I think the ANC big wigs know this.

this is all just being played out guys....

they had a big meeting with him and said "this is what we gonna do, just play along"

it all means NOTHING
