New free SMS website launched - Kujo

I registered, I'm just waiting for the OTP and I'm on mtn.
Seems like an interesting service..

Cheap way to harvest working cell phone numbers to onsell to marketers. I already get so much crap sent to me already, no thanks ..................

Would be nice to read their "Terms & Conditions", but that does not work either. No thanks, get enough SPAM as it is.

Just get another SIM and RiCA it, no harm but only once they get 100's of users on this will we know if it is sustainable :p

Nice to see the us of Joomla on the site. The logo says Kujo.co.za, but the domain kujo.co.za goes nowhere and appears to belong to somebody else...bad planning.

Why didn't they use SEF URL's?

Looks a bit hastily put together...not as polished as FSMS.co.za.

Hats off to MyADSL for featuring emerging IT entrepreneurs in South Africa...these kind of stories should be a standard weekly feature, giving IT entrepreneurs a spotlight to help them get some market traction by reaching out on SA's premier IT geek hangout ;-)

yep agreed they will sell your numbers to marketing companies , clever idea ....

Whether you sign up with them or not, the minute one of your contacts sends you an SMS from there, they have your number.
Then they sell it to the Penis Enlargement guys.

Very poorly put together, you would think they would of put a no-repeat on the main image as well as bothered to change the meta tags.
Terrible planning and implementation, hell got into the site 1min ago and now i try again and its all white.

Sorry to say but the 80% beta has an 80% chance of failing, they should of tested all of this and fixed all the little stupid mistakes before even declaring it 1% beta, that site has no place being live, it should still be in in-house alpha phase testing, at best a small private external testing group.

Seriously, why does myBB not check out these things before publishing content? Or are they simply publishing content for the bloody sake of advertising impressions these days? >:(
