Mozilla chairwoman defends Firefox rapid-release schedule

My main problem is that it really is getting worse. Every version freezes more and more often, and then you have to leave it for about 30 seconds to come alive again. At this point in time I expect it to crash a few times a day. And I am not alone.
This is not cool, especially on a Phenom X6 with 8GB DDR3.
 
Companies? try personal!? Half my plugins don't work anymore :mad:

huh. Thought I was the only one.
 
I think its purely a marketing gimick that will damage the products reliability.

I did a update to a new major version the other day and it looked and worked exactly the same, that should not be a major release then.
 
I don't really care what the version number is.... as long as it is updated regularly. :rolleyes:

Regardless of how fast they can pump new features into Firefox, IE will always limit what you can do on the web as developer.

They are trying to catch up to Opera & Chrome but in the process they screw thing up more rapidly as there isn't even proper testing been done because the next release is already pending!

OPERA RULES!
 
I did lose a few plugins when upgrading to FF6, but nothing I can't live without.

BTW, if anyone can recommend a decent youtube video downloader (that works like Easy Youtube Video Dowloader that had a button on each video, where you could also choose the resolution that you wanted to d/l), I would be eternally greatful. Even before I updated Firefox, an update of that downloader saw the button disappearing on some videos (basically anyone I wanted to download). Found another one that wasn't nearly as good, which has now been disabled since upgrading to FF6.
