iPad 3 could sport a thinner, lighter battery

Thinner and lighter schlong as it lasts long enough for the apple fans to get off.
 
The tablet seems to have hit a wall really, not much new over the last couple of months, now for the prices to drop.

How can you go thinner than the current iPad? Unless it's marginal, would it actually make it better?
 
I would love if they had a better camera. It would make it the ideal device for me then!
 
They should stop doing stupid things and focus on getting the performance up to the point where the iPad 3 has a retina display....

Lol I'm aloud to dream, can't imagine what the size of apps will be supporting the resolution needed to achieve the same pixel density as the iP4. Never mind the processing power required to render that resolution.
 
iPad 3 already on the horizon. Eish. iPad 2 prices should come down over christmas perhaps?
 
I'm almost certain we will get a retina display with the iPad 3. At worst we will have to wait for iPad 4.

For me the two biggest frustrations i have with the iPad is text clarity and weight. Obviously you can include the whole file system issue but then i can work around that, but the weight and text clarity is just not ideal.

Pricing will only come down after the iPad 3 gets announced. Its more of an old stock issue than Apple dropping prices.

The processing power of the new quad core arm chips will do just fine. Samsung have already shown their retina screen. By this time next year retina screens should be in all high end tablets.

Sure but I would like to think that over xmas tablets should sell like hot cakes making good competition for the apple brand. We can only wish :)

That's why Jony Ive earns the big bucks... He'll find a way to make it both. ;)
 
"The cost of these new low profile batteries is reportedly 20 to 30 percent higher than the cost of the iPad 2 battery" Add to the fact that the iPad3 will have better specs and new features, would it be fair to assume the price to also be 20 to 30 percent higher than an iPad2?
