I like Teraco but since i am on the IS backbone with my ISP, i have to side with IS :), oh why can't it be both :/

I doubt that it will make too much difference to JINX or CINX. Neither of the current exchanges are near capacity.

What it probably will do is encourage more ISPs to setup a presence in Durbs instead of just backhauling everything to JHB. This should improve the latencies for some stuff too.
 
Sounds like something you'll do with your coffee and JINX, well...
 
Would this have anything to do with Eastern Cape traffic being sent to JHB via CINX?

hmmm it mostly gets routed though CINX if im not mistaken ... but a PeINX or PINX is the next step then :}

I wonder if they are or will be using dbn as a landing point for cables
 
It has to go to Teraco. The exchanges should be independent from the ISP's to be truly neutral.

No, there's no reason they can't be integrated if the hosting provider can pay the associated fees. A better experience for everyone.
