Will you be affected by the Vodacom BlackBerry caps?

How much data do you think Vodacom should allow through BIS before throttling?

One fail after the other...
Vodacom is fast becoming the definition for Epic Fail.

Is it just me or has every announcement from them in the past while been one disappointment after the other to the consumer?

Justice will have guys like 8ta and Cell C reap the benefits of these red punks' ignorance toward clients.

The poll is scewed...

Please allow for 5GB before you go "+"

By the poll like this it just affirms Vodacoms claims by making anyone above 500MB an abuser /facepalm

5Gig???? What on earth for? The service is for browsing and IM and email...not downloading movies etc.

/Waits for the Vodacom employee to vote 100MB...:D

EDIT: That didn't take too long

I'm not affected, Galaxy S2 on CellC. :)
If I still had my BB Torch I'd say 500mb before throttling, but then again my BIS experience was uber slow even on MTN.
Vodacom has always been the most expensive network, and I havent used them in over 10years.

That is the Global standard for capping BIS, why should SA be any different?

OK...i will have to take your word on that...and if its true then fair enough....but if you ask me giving allowance for 5GIG is basically giving the go ahead to the abusers (and potentially new ones) to just keep on doing what they are doing.

Dear Vodacom

I have been paying you on average about R450 pm for the last few years, I will admit I did it grudgingly but hey you gotta get work done. I even forked out extra money so I could use the BB as a modem device R389 for 2.3 GB a hard nail to bite but I did it. Since I got my 4MB uncapped from mweb life has been great. My device was uncapped, I could do what I wanted when I wanted.
From now on you no longer have my subscription. Rim I am sorry but you would have had another 2 years with if it was not for vodacom. I have rejected the delivery of the new 9900.
_!_ <- vodacom

do emails count? I am not an abuser but I get hundreds of emails per day

I still don't see how 100MB is 'ok'. if they limit people to 500-1GB the loss is a hell of a lot less than 300GB and since its only 5% of the 1.2million people tell me how its not economically profitable?

Oh wells, good thing i'm not on vodacom and switching to iphone5(with data bundle, decided this earlier due to cost of promos being cheap enough to make BIS expensive.. now its just ridiculous haha)

2 things is highlighted tho..
1. people downloading large media files (why cant they block these, heck return the blockage of files > 25-50MB even)
2. people are managing to use this as a network point (for a larger network?).. on a data stick? <-- this is likely what urkes them a lot too because then its not even downloads heh

If the Abusers as per Vodacom only makes up 5% of the BIS base and some of them do 300GB then how does allowing 5GB affect anyone? Since the people who only use it for FB and Twitter as an example will still fall below the 100MB as per Vodacom. The more tech savvy people will hit around 2GB per month without abusing the system. And the abusers will not get anything done past 5GB.

America who's population in general is more tech savvy than other populations have a limit of 5GB. So why should we be different?

60000+ people is a lot of people, why don't they just throttle the people who abuse the system????

Folks here we have the reason for a new movie:PLANET OF THE TROLLS.

This specimen here shows a much higher level of intelligence compare to the normal trolls, they catch you into normal conversation in order to pull the wool over over your eyes.

Ocleroux (and about four others here) always defend every move vodacom makes. So heres a simple answer for you ocleroux WITH A QUESTION FIRST:

DO WE AS SOUTH AFRICANS NOT QUALIFY TO HAVE AMENITIES THAT OTHER NATIONS HAVE?

The rest of the world has 2 BIS options,a higher priced uncapped service and a lower priced 5GB soft cap bundle.

Even YOU cant make vodacom look good with this one oc so please stop now you are genuinely making yourself look even more silly than in your posts on other vodacom related issues,in fact I have more respect for jannie as we all know what he does and who hes affliated to and instead of ALWAYS trying to make vodacom right,he does sometimes try to see what we as consumers want.SOMETIMES

*end rant*:D
