Last time I checked they didn't even ship to SA so you need to find out if this is still the case

Um, Expansys is a South African company????

OP, I don't know about the warranty, I've never even sent any phone in for repairs, but from what I heard it takes ages in SA too, and they also end up F-ing you in the A with the costs. So for that price it might be worth it, if it's not a mistake. Only available 19 October though.
 
HEY!!!! That date keeps moving.... Originally it was 2 October, then 3.... now 19 That certainly does not leave me with warm fuzzies

That been said... I have never had a phone that did not go for repairs, well, besides my 5110 and 3330 :) I seem to have major bad luck with phones

eXpansys is a UK company. partnering with an SA company to handle their deliveries for them. Why else do you think their stuff takes forever to get here? Don't judge by the domain name (as I suspect you did to begin with)

That is also why its such a hassle to return stuff to them.

Question, if I place the order, can they change the price and charge me extra later on?

Thnx, not concerned about the version on it, will probibly root and flash it after the 1st charge. Will replace my current dev phone(HTC Desire) still keeping my DHD as primary.

They often have specials.... A Month ago they had the Motorola Milestone 2 for about R2500 and the Optimus 2x for... I think it was R3500

Huh? Do you mean if you order the phone a month later it will still be cheaper?

I guess that is so with all electronics, but I do reserve judgement on the play price. The play goes for average $500 including Amazon's special price $440.00

That means if the price quoted by Expansys is true, its one hell of a bargain as its more than 50% of retail. I doubt it will go for cheaper in 30 days than the quoted price.
 
I doubt if it will be cheaper.... The white Xperia Play on the same site is more than double the price.... Besides, tech always get's cheaper.... 3 Years ago I paid R12999 for a 37" Samsung 5 Series LCD... It is what it is, else we would still be doing everything on stone tablets waiting for prices to come down :)

I see the price just went up from last night's R1,929.99 (R1,692.97 exc.)
Its now R2,233.76 (R1,959.44 exc.)

At least I got my Order confirmation Email from last night with the old price :)
