These are the dmg files so Windows users will need to extract it with PowerISO or TransMac.

Edit: 7zip works just as well on dmg files and best of all it's free!
A quick tip for the people using 7zip on the dmg files.
When you open the dmg in 7zip there is a disc image called 2.hfs.
Open that (you will see 7zip extracting progress bar)
You will then see a directory e.g. "iOS 5 GM seed - iPhone - 9A334"
Inside that is a file iPhone3,1_5.0_9A334_Restore.ipsw, which is what you need to extract.

Edit2: To avoid the obvious confusion I have removed the CDMA links. SA is GSM.

Do you need a Developer account to load iOS5 GM??

Finished upgrading. I went for a fresh install and restored from backup. Everything appears to be fine. Not seeing much difference between beta 7 yet.
 
Can anyone help, I've got the Itunes beta DL and 7zip - how do I get it to install now?

Does this version allow you to make calls and make use of all of your phones functionality? I also can't wait a week after watching the videos on ios 5 and the 4S <---- OMG :love:

Yes, but Siri is only available in the 4S.
