MTN calls for full LLU at ICASA hearings (11 October 2011)

Good news. I think both vodacom and mtn have the capital needed to make use of LLU in a big way.

The sooner LLU happens the better.

...and if LLU creates any issues afterwards, well we can double cross that bridge when we get to it. :p

Well, if you aim for getting all 4 methods implemented, then you know (hopefully) one would become a reality. We can only hope, because with access to the LL it would open the opportunity for ISPs to come up with some innovative new products, which hopefully have :
- better line rentals
- bonding of line for better speeds, etc.

We can only hope.
 
Full LLU should include wireless as well, shame on you MTN.
 
why not include wireless or mobile networks? they are making financial arguments when asked. Telkom is just going to beat the same drum.

I don't know about the benefits, but I can give you one major disadvantage:
Telkom will use this as a huge distraction in a bid to further delay copper LLU.
